What is unusual about Travelers is that they have achieved such a high ranking even though their policies are largely sold through independent agents rather than dedicated sales. In 2006, Travelers was purchased by the MetLife Insurance group, but has retained their operating name.

      I chose Travelers with help from my agent. I wanted to insure 2 homes and 3 autos. I have been very satisfied with their service. When my husband and I suffered serious illness this company worked with us to save our coverage.

      This year I also added Umbrella Liability policy, and homeowners policy, because after shopping premium rates for a number of years, Travelers always comes out on top.

      Best in Claims, March, 2012

      I loved the my insurance company took care of my claim, my son tryed to miss the deer and ran into a ditch. My son was ok, but my car needed lots of help. They had it towed and fix in no time, the gave me a rental at no charge to me so I could keep up my household. The person how took care of my claim was so nice.

      great job at handling my claim, February, 2012

      I had to submit a claim on my homeowners policy. It was inspected and settled within a couple of days and the claim representative was very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received from Travelers Insurance.
